Thanks for a wonderful program. My pupils love it. I tried Auto cad before but for my needs this is just 100%
There is just one thing, when saved i cant open up in my router program I have a small mill for plexi and aluminum
My pupils are just now designing there own lettuce cutlery in plexiglass drawing in inkscape and cutting in my small mill then vakuum forming in self made vacuumformer.
I can use the following ,eps, hpl ,plt, but none of these seems to work.

Welcome to InkscapeForum, carl-eric!
When you say:

Do you mean that your router program only accepts the EPS, HPL, or PLT formats, but you're having trouble saving in those formats in Inkscape?
Or so you mean that you have saved the Inkscape image as EPS, HPL, or PLT formats, but that they're not working in your router program?
What do you mean by "router program"? Is this an interface for the mill (route such as on a map, or "mail route")? Or is it like a router similar to the machine used in woodworking?

Re: inkscape to winpc
In your save dialog box, in the drop down list, do you see eps or pdf? What version of Inkscape are you using? what version of windows?
Your mind is what you think it is.
