Hi fellow Inkscapists,

I was looking to (1) achieve an effect like with the "Motion" extension. However, my use case is a bit particular, (2) applying it on clones of text ((2') or at least groups of paths). Right now I do it just by making a small number of duplicates (of the clone) that move off in one direction, but it's tedious to edit, and I can't (3) adjust the angle or even the magnitude on-canvas. (Note that for the latter thing, being able to scale only the distance between objects would already do this.)
Finally, I'd like to be able to do this (4) without filters (so it can be exported to PDF).

I realize that there won't be anything that ticks a majority of these boxes for a while, since even the extension doesn't work on groups, and path effects can't be applied on clones. But if you have some trick to make my current workflow just a bit smoother, I'd really be interested to hear it!

Can you share an example source and example result image? I'm not sure I get what you want 100%.
