I'm have been using Inkscape with Ubuntu now for some time but since upgrading to Karmic my Inkscape has broken. When I try to do anything with a text box (move the text, click on it to edit) I receive the error "Inkscape encountered an internal error and close now"

I've seen a couple of bugs that may be linked to this but not resolution.

Has anyone else had this problem and know how to resolve it? I'm running the latest Inkscape 0.47 pre4 that came with the distribution.
