textext not working! previous solutions don't seem to have a

Hi all:

I just downloaded and installed pstoedit and textext but I am going through the same problems as zaradek (see this post: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=917). With pstoedit in the Program Files, I do not get the option of \Effects\Render\LaTeX formula. However, when I move the pstoedit folder to c:\Program Files\Inkscape, the LaTeX formula option appears though it doesn't work. I get the following error message:
'pstoedit' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

I have tried using the suggested versions of eqtexsvg.py as well as deleting the msvcr70.dll with no effect. Both Textext and LaTeX formula rendering continue to not work. Does anyone have a solution to this??

I should mention that I did not set the system path to anything. In fact, I do not even know how to do it!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks a lot!
