Dividing Text and Making Arc/Eclipse

Postby Kid Matthew » Wed Oct 09, 2013 11:59 am

How would I divide a piece of text I have to achieve a similar effect like the 2 shades with a arc dividing it, as shown in picture.

How would I achieve a partial arc with the thickness thinning out like in the picture.

Any help would certainly be appreciated,

Cheers,
Matthew

It's not a big deal do draw such things technically but
rather you don't.

Sorry for being impolite, but with a bad logo you wouldn't succeed either.

To make a crescent, I'd clip one ellipse with another. To divide text, I'd stack two layers of text and clip the top one with any desired shape.

Have a nice day.

I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/
