[solved] text not showing

[solved] text not showing

I have created a svg logo, one ellipse and one word. Rendering (from notepad) to chrome/firefox/ie, text doesn't show up

I am new to inkscape, and I am doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what of the simple steps I took to create my logo. Attached the b.svg file, made with inskcape.

some observations:

ellipse has a green fill with alpha at zero (should be 'No Fill' instead)

both texts are flowed text

Flowed text won't show up on the internet. Convert back to regular text: Text menu > Convert to text. You might have to realign.

Flowed text is created when you drag out a selection box before you type. To create regular text from the start, just click once and start typing. You can align/format afterwards using snapping and guides, if necessary.

I definitely will attend a flash course on inkscape. Intuition is not enough!

Not always, yes. But it's totally worth investing time into some learning!

Take a look at the Learn section on the Inkscape website (https://inkscape.org/learn and submenus) to find lots of tutorials, and also here: http://forum.inkscapecommunity.com/index.php
