For sake of easy explaination of what is happening, I have included an image.
I have been using inkscape for years and can't recall having this problem. If I clip an image, then place an identical
shape that I used to clip the image with, over the newly shaped image...then the pictures edges show up all around the object
and is even shown when the image is exported to png. Any help here would be great. Thanks.

Re: Image clipping problem...
When you seeing it in svg display, it is likely due to screen rendering... you might not see it at different zoom levels.
When you see it in rendered bitmaps, it may be due to pixel-fitting and/or antialiasing.

Have a nice day.
I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1
The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/

Re: Image clipping problem...
If it's because of the rendering, the issue might be improved in the relatively-soon-to-be-released-stable 0.91. Or you can get now as experimental. http://inkscape.org/en/download/

Thanks for the reply. I did upgrade to the new version but didn't change anything :/

Do you have any info about getting rid of it from the exported png? It's normally not that noticible, but when there are
contrasting colors, it stands out.
