Hello! I'm working on creating a contrast image between Germany's current borders and what the nation could have looked like if it included ethnic Germans and German Speakers in surrounding areas. The image of modern Germany is fine, and I thought that the larger one was fine too- but after I've saved it and I try to put it somewhere, like Powerpoint- or anywhere for that matter- the new Germany is gone. Only the smaller one is there.

I didn't want to post this on a forum because I've only been using Inkscape for about a year and always found an answer somewhere on Google (I didn't want to be mocked and waste peoples' time) but now I'm convinced there may be something up with Inkscape. On another separate project, everything looked fine until I tried to use it somewhere else but only a flag popped up that I didn't even use in that project.

I have checked to see if the files are corrupted, refreshed Inkscape and made sure I had the most recent version, and restarted my computer, all to no avail.

Well, first, you won't be mocked here. If someone asks for a critique (or posts their image in Work in Progress board) some people might post comments about the content of the image. But otherwise we don't comment in the content or even quality of images which people post (unless you ask for that kind of comments). We only will answer your Inkscape questions, and help you learn how to use Inkscape.

Second, we wouldn't be here if we didn't have time. We like to help people learn how to use Inkscape, that's why we're here!

And third, in this case, we would have absolutely no way of knowing what might be happening that part of your image isn't showing on the internet. We really will need to see the SVG file, so that we can download it, and examine it.

I can say that if you used text in the image, and any of that text was Flowed Text, it won't show up outside of Inkscape. Flowed text is created when you drag out a text box before you start typing with the Text tool. To create regular text, just click once on the canvas and start typing. Or you can select the flowed text, and go Text menu > Convert to Text. You can find out if the text is flowed or not by selecting it (with Selection tool) and looking at the status bar.

Beyond that, we can't even guess. If you could please share the file with us, we can get to work. The SVG file, please. And if you saved in a different format, it might help to share that as well. Like if you saved as PDF, we have seen certain elements that aren't showing up (they are known bugs).

Also please tell us your Inkscape version and operating system.

your clipping path was not good enough for use outside inkscape. see if this file works for you after some edits...
incidentally wasn't this Hitler's justification for the annexation of the Sudetenland Czechoslovakia Bohemia Moravia etc. You might find maps already made up according to this ideology.
Also I note that you mentioned Powerpoint. I have no experience with this program so I have no idea if it can handle clipped vector images you might have to convert it to a pixel based format

druban, could you elaborate a little on the clipping path. Is it because the clipping path is a group, that it won't work outside Inkscape? I'm just curious.

I actually didn't realize that you could use a group for a clipping path. I've always thought it had to be a single, continuous, closed path.

If it turns out the clip is the problem there's another way you could accomplish that design, without using clipping. A little more work, but not very much more.
