Issues with ungrouping
Cool site btw.. I'm kinda new to Inkscape been using for a couple months an have noticed after making a file an its saved or exported once I reload the file I can't ungroup.. I've tried everything I know an still no luck.. Any ideas on what cause this ? Thanks..
Re: Issues with ungrouping
Hi.
Do you still have it as inkscape svg?
If exported or saved to png... then nothing can be done.
If it's still inkscape svg, you might just locked the layers.
Post the file in question here if you cannot solve it.

Re: Issues with ungrouping
Well that sums that up.. Does it have to be saved as the .svg to begin with or can I import save as inkscape .svg an go from there ? Thanks..
Re: Issues with ungrouping
By default inkscape saves as inkscape svg.
That is the format which saves the most information in your file.
Either for save and save as option.
Png is a raster format, only export to that for explicit purposes, like an avatar image/web header image and such.
If you import a raster image, and save it as an svg, it won't turn to be vector.
You will need the auto-trace function or redraw the image manually if you need it as vectors.
