I just downloaded inkscape 0.48 and can't get it to work at all. I have windows 7 on my computer... is this the problem? I also have Inkscape on my XP computer and it works just fine?

Any help is appreciated?

I use Inkscape on Windows 7 without any problems.
So I don't know, maybe just uninstall, reinstall, and try again?

Thank you for answering... I have uninstalled and re-installed several times now and it opens just fine and looks like it wil lwork, but when I try to draw something the curser/cross hair is there, but it will not draw anything...I am perplexed.

Could you create just simple document, like just a quick circle or rectangle.....hhhhmm, not sure if it's possible to save a blank file, lol. But if you can get anything at all on the canvas, even just embed another small image (via File menu > Import), and Save as SVG, then you could upload as attachment to your next reply. Then we can have a look at the file, and help you figure out what's wrong. There are just too many things to guess about, so seeing a file might help.

Unless someone else has an idea what might be wrong???

Oh hey, this isn't a laptop, ie 64-bit version of Windows 7 is it? If so, there ARE some issues we could discuss. If so, please let us know

Do you use an extended input device like a tablet?
