rectangle radius query

Postby TSPCO » Wed Aug 24, 2011 10:32 am

I am trying to draw a specific radius on some rectangle corners so I set up the x radius at 1.5", then I tried the y radius at the same dimension. Well it doesn't see be correct. Do I use the x or y radius for the best results? How do I get my radius right? A proper specific tutorial would be perfect.

Welcome to InkscapeForum!

If you want each corner to represent a quarter circle, you need to drag down the corner shape handle (Ry value on the control bar). Once you move that handle, you see that there is another one directly underneath (Rx value on the control bar). When you drag the 2nd handle (Rx), then the radii are different, not symmetrical.

Here's a link to the info in the Guide: http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL ... ngles.html
