HI Friends,
I notice in the new stable release version 0.47, a red line outlines objects and paths on mouseover. While I can clearly understand how helpful this can be, I'm finding it quite annoying that is happens all the time. Is there any way to disable that feature? I've searched through Inkscape Preferences, but can't find anything about it. Is there a way to disable it and I've overlooked it? If not, I probably will submit a wish list "bug" report, asking for some means of disabling the feature. It's that annoying!

Adjustable settings for path outlines:

• Inkscape Preferences > Tools > Node > Path Outline:
  [x] Path outline flash in mouse-over
  [x] Suppress path outline flash when one path is selected
• Node Tool Controls Bar: toggle 'View Outline" (last button at the right end of the toolbar - on small screens, use the drop-down triangle)

As I said, I did search through the Inks Prefs, but didn't look at Node tool because the outline shows up on objects as well as paths. I had not noticed though, that it was only with the node tool.

Uh-oh, bad news!
It seems that setting reverts to the original default every time I close the program. Because whenever I open Inkscape, there are those darned red outlines flashing all over the place when I move my mouse over the canvas. I go back to Inkscape Prefs and uncheck "Path outline flash in mouse-over".

Is this a bug, or is there some way to permanently...well not permanently, but until I decide to change it back, stop that feature?
