Hey it's me, Weylin!

Postby Weylin » Mon Jun 21, 2010 7:13 am

Hey guys, I just downloaded Inkscape, and hope to learn to use it well. Other program I use is Paint.NET.

I followed a noob tutorial and made this:

Hopefully I will get better as I experiment more and read more.

P.S. I have already read the rules, that's how cool I am!

Welcome Weylin!
Awesome, looks like you are off to a good start with the basics. I love Inkscape, and hope you will enjoy using it too. As a vector graphics program, it takes a little getting used to, especially if you're used to working with a raster type program like Paint.NET. But I much prefer it, and can't wait until MS makes Internet Explorer able to display SVG images.

Anyway, please see my signature for info on learning materials. And please don't hesitate to ask for help in the Help forum, if you get stuck or just have questions.

All best :D

Thanks for the support! I'm starting off with all of the video tutorials (screencasters) so I can get used to some more advanced stuff, and get into the habit of using basic things too. I was making a bottlecap at my dad's house, when I had to go to my moms house, so it wont get done til next week (unless I start a new one here!). This program looks like it's very powerful, and makes incredibly clean images. I hope to use Inkscape not only for some awesome stuff, but to incorporate it into my roster graphics works!
