Loading a backup file
I was using inkscape and it crashed is there a backup file for what i was working on?

Which platform are you using ? (windows,osx,linux)
When it crashed on my linux it always display a message with the path of a backup version of my work.

Check in your preferences to see if backup is turned on and frequency and location for the backups.
