google page+

As you can read from inkscape.org now we have the Google+ page where the inkscape team will post news on development, co-projects, unstable builds, art created with Inkscape and so on.

Hhhm....so what is this Google + ? Is it like another social networking type of thing? Looks like maybe a cross between FB and a blog??

Well, some interesting reading in any case, which I've been able to do without having to register. So at least that's a plus compared to FB, et al

Wow, I'm happy to see gradient mesh (or mesh gradient, whatever) is a lot closer to reality (for Inkscape) than I thought! Although it looks like it may be some time before it is ready for all the supported systems?

Sigh. I think we are in the same boat, Brynn - we need someone to compile a Windows version for us before we can try it out!

Hi brynn, yes it`s a kind of social network like facebook

for the gradient mesh you can have a look on Tavmjong Bah blog however the build is very unstable and we are not sure yet if it's going to make it to v0.49(inkscape.org news)
At the moment is possible to try only in a separate branch(unix), there are not build yet.

For the last build in windows I suggest to have a look in here
(without gradient mesh obviously)
