Hello,
If I’ve scanned in a picture I’ve drawn – say 5 circles, the size of a coin, black on white, imported it into Inkscape and turned it into a bitmap so just the black circles are now showing and deleted the old scan so I’m just left with the bitmap.
I’ve coloured 4 of them but don’t need the 5th. When I click on the black outline of the scanned circle I want to delete, all the other circles get highlighted too. How to I delete just one of the circles on the picture? So I’m left with 4. Is there a way of selecting just part of something you’ve scanned in so you can to delete it or change its colour?
Please help.
Many thanks,
Dave
Deleting part of a scanned in Bitmap
Re: Deleting part of a scanned in Bitmap
If the 5 circles are completely separated from each other, you should be able to use Path menu > Break Apart. This will turn them into 5 separate objects, so that you can select one and delete it. If they are not separated, things get complicated. But let us know, and we can offer suggestions (there might be a few different ways to do it, depending on what's happening in your image).
