Hi there, I am Jan and I joined the forum today with a little hope that some day I will master a programm like inkscape.
I messed around a bit with Illustrator and other stuff but until now for me it's hard to understand what I am doing.
I hope I will find on this forum enough information ( I am sure there is) to get me started.
My goal is to use inkscape for making designs for engraving, so mostly scroll work in a fine line pattern.
Now I am doing this with pencil and paper but this way it is hard to transfer your image clear onto the metal.
I thought by vectorising my pencil drawings this might be less difficult because of the sharp lines.
Being a real nitwit on this kind of programs my contibution to the forum will mostly be asking questions instead of giving answers but i hope this will change.
