Automatically scale path with zoom

Postby sebas310 » Thu Jul 21, 2011 12:40 pm

I am currently making a map, and I would like to have the country borders scale with the size, making them permanently appear with a width of 1. Is this possible, or am I going against the gods with this one. Thank you so much for your help ahead of time!

Welcome to InkscapeForum!

Yes, that is indeed possible! With the Selection tool engaged, look at the tool control bar (just above ruler). On the far right are 4 similar-looking buttons. The first on the left, is "When scaling objects, scale stroke with by the same proportion" (hover mouse to see tool tip).

I'm not clear if you want the stroke width to scale with the object, or stay the same no matter the scale. But this button, on or off, will do it!

All best :D
