Hello,
I don't know if I'm in the right discussion. If it needs to be moved, then please let me know.
I'm new to Inkscape and love the program, it has helped me in alot of way.
However, I am having one issue.
When I first downloaded Inkscape it worked perfectly.
Now, when I create a shape, click 'Fill and Stroke', then I click 'Edit...' for editing the gradient,
the edit panel does not show up. It acts as if I clicked the button and then nothing happens.
Did I accidently change a setting?
Also, this started after I had used Inkscape with my Wacom Cintiq, so I did have to configure
a couple things to make it work. But I have looked over all my settings, and it looks as if
it should work.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I greatly appreciate any and all help.
Thank you,
Happy Drawing^^
~Lady Sapphire

Re: Gradient Editor
I don't know much about tablets, except for what I've read in messages. So I may not be any help. The only thing I can think of, is maybe the dialog has been "minimized". If so, you should find it in the lower left corner of the window. And I say "minimized" because it is not truly minimized -- you can just drag it back up into view. See screenshot below.
The Gradient Editor is one of the few dialogs that is not dockable. If I'm not mistaken, it will be in the next stable release (maybe now available in daily development version, I'm not sure).

Re: Gradient Editor
well,
I looked for the minimized version of the gradient, also by downsizing inkscape, and moving just about everything, and I've found no sign of it.
Also, I'm not using my cintiq. Which could be the problem.
Sometimes when you change from dual screen to single screen, the computer leaves whatever you were using
on the secondary screen on it, so you have to rehook it up, and change it back to single screen.
doh! I bet that's what it is. Have to wait til monday though to figure it out lol.
Thanks, if it is, I'll let you know lol.
