You could import that image into Inkscape, and trace it. There are 2 ways to trace -- trace "manually" with Pen/Bezier tool, or auto-trace with Path menu > Trace Bitmap.

Once you have it converted to vector, you can edit to look like the one at the referenced link.

Not hard to make it from scratch, using node editing.

Not sure it shows too well: the first menu item TD selects, Path > Object to Path, is the most important info, I guess.
