Hi I am new to Inkscape and I hear it was good for vector graphics so I decided to create a cipher disk face.
I started by segmenting a circle using a star to achieve a 26 segmented disk, next I created a circular path to add my text,
but the problem I am facing and have been for a while with all my previous attempts is that I can never achieve a perfect alignment of the text to the sections in the disk.
I believe my best hope from here is to create small curves each with one character on them but how would I go about doing that?

Circular Text - Cipher Disk
Re: Circular Text - Cipher Disk
Hi.
You can use manual kerning with Alt+right/left arrows on the characters inside the text object.
Another way would be similar to this,
creating spacer objects, aligning them to individual characters/snapping to position, then grouping them together and rotating with the transformation panel (Shift+Ctrl+M) 13,846° several times in a nutshell.

Thanks you so much for the manual kerning tip, that works great!
I think the other stuff is a little advanced for me
