I'm new with Inkscape and I'm trying to install Inkscape and keep having the same problems even after trying to uninstall and then reinstalling.



After downloading and running the program, I always get an error window that ... see image attached....says something about a previous installation.
So I go through the motions and do what it prompts me to do, which is uninstalling the program. And when I do, I also delete prior preferences (just in case) even though I don't believe I have any, because I haven't used the program yet. Then I reinstall and it takes me through the whole procedure again. It just keeps me going around in circles.

So when I get the same message again, I do go back to make sure Inkscape is not already installed.

HELP! I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, trying to do things differently and I end up with the same result.

Perhaps you`d walk out of that enchanted circle if you go for C:\Users\(yourUserName)\AppData\Roaming\ and delete that Inkscape folder along with the one from Program Files (x86) - and than install Inkscape again.

Which version of Inkscape you`re installing?
