Help with EPS file

Postby VillalpandoE » Sun Oct 10, 2010 5:10 am

Hi,
I am brand new to using Inkscape, I was using Illustrator to open EPS files but that is no longer an option and I REALLY need to edit an istock EPS file I have.

I read that EPS files can be edited in Inkscape if it is converted to a pdf file. So I found a file converter to change an istock illustration from EPS to pdf and it opened but all the parts of the image, mostly the colored parts are ALL black.

I'm thinking it may have something to do with size? I also read that the pdf file should be compressed but I cant find a converter that will convert an EPS to a compressed pdf in the file size I have.

Or maybe I should convert to SVG but have NO idea how to do that, I really just need to open the EPS file any way that will work

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)
