Hi All
In my web-app I want to use InkScape in order to tranform my custom-generated SVG images to EMF format.
I am able to use InkScape command line from my app backend code for these needs. However, disk space is very limited on my server machine, which means, I can't allow installing inkscape there.
Is there a possibility to use only separate executable, shortened version of InkScape tool? If it exists- please share that with me.
Maybe there is a better way to satisfy my needs? Suggestions will be much appreciated.
Regards, Mykhaylo
I want to use only command line interface
Re: I want to use only command line interface
There isn't such an option available currently, although it's been requested a lot lately. I can link you to the feature request, if you'd like to read it.
Would you be able to use it from a usb drive? There is a portable version of Inkscape, made for that. Hhmm, well at least I see one for windows. I thought there was a portable version for all systems, but maybe I'm just not looking in the right place. Start looking here: https://inkscape.org/en/download/
Oh, well no, that probably won't work after all. I missed the part about it being a web app.
Inkscape isn't really huge, at approx 15 mb, compared to other programs. And you could always install just the minimum features. Like you wouldn't need to install all the different translations, so you could skip that in the custom installation options. But there still is not a command line only version.
I wish I could be more helpful.

Maybe use uniconvertor directly?
