Hello
I'm trying to cut a closed path into different pieces so that I can export as an emf into powerpoint and then change the fill colour for each piece from within powerpoint. The closed path has "holes" or voids inside it (not sure what the technical language is to describe this is...)
The attached image shows what I'm trying to do (actual shape is much more complex).
I've been able to do this but only by drawing a rectangle over one section and then using Path-->Intersection or Path-->Difference. That removes part of the diagram, so I need to copy the result to another file, then undo in the orginal file and repeat for the next section. It quickly becomes impractical to align the cut out shapes in the output file.
Is there any way to do this easily? I have tried using "cut path" plus the "close curve" extension but it doesn't work because the "holes" get detached from the rest of the path.
Thanks!
John
