Seriously, that site has problems with response time, bad gateway all the time.

I was trying to download inkscape 64-bit for Windows... If you know of another mirror, that would be great.

We've got no mirror, but all downloads are hosted by a caching service. I'll also send the web master a message, it's still really slow.

Comment posting might be working fine now again - our webmaster has had a deep look into the website's inner workings and excluded a couple of bots.

The site does suffer from lack of adequate resources (in my opinion). It's because the website is finally being developed over the last 2 or 3 years, for really, the first time ever. It's beginning to outgrow its resources. I'm afraid that the performance problems will not be getting better, anytime soon. Not in a permanent way.

But we can rest assured that it's being managed by the person who has created it from scratch (doctormo/doctormon). And I have no doubt that he has it fine tuned and running as optimally as possible.

I've been trying to push gently for a better hosting solution. But there's way more push back at this point, than agreement. When you're an open source project, depending on volunteers for everything, often you have to take whatever you can get. And sometimes it seems it's never quite enough.

If anyone knows of any web host which offers free hosting for open source projects, please speak up!
