How i can export a editable text to Pencil from Inkscape

Postby lydia.quintanilla » Fri Jan 24, 2014 7:02 pm

Hi,

I have a big problem with that. I have to know how to export a SVG that it has text in it and, when I generate it in Pencil Evolus, edit that text. I did it but the text that it exports can't be edited.
I'm worried because in my office told me that I must do that and I have no idea... I saved a Optimized SVG but it didn't work either.

PD: Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Spain. I just want to edit a text in Pencil that comes from Inkscape.
Thank you!

Hi.

Have you tried the other way around, importing pencil diagrams to inkscape?
Seems there are more possibilities with it.

Does it work with a simple svg with text ? (not coming from inkscape)

Inkscape adds tspan in text tags. Maybe Pencil can't handle them. Does pencil display you text or not at all ?

I open the .png file from, for example, Android.GUI stencil and doesn't work. There's a png and that's all. Then I try the definition.xml of Android.GUI and has an error...

How I can do a simple svg with text without Inkscape? :'( The idea is taking the design of Inkscape (illustration or whatever) and put a text in it. An editable text in Pencil Evolus.

Yes, Pencil Evolus displays the text but can't be edited.

I don't find the solution yet.
