I am completely new to both Photoshop and Inkscape. I was looking to create some simple images using Inkscape for another project on Photoshop. The way to do it, I figured, was to save the image I created using Inkscape as a PNG image and then opening it with PS for other work. However, I see that everytime I save a picture from Inkscape as a PNG, all the blurs are replaced with non-blur elements. That spoils all the shadow effects I wanted to give the image. Anybody can help with this on what I should be doing? Your help much appreciated.
Thanks a lot.

Re: Saving as PNG Ruins Blur

Welcome to InkscapeForum!
I might guess that you're using Save As: Cairo PNG? The proper way to save a PNG is to use File Menu > Export Bitmap. That will preserve the blurs and transparency. If that's already what you're doing, we'll have to ask some more questions and learn a little more detail about what you're doing.

Hi Brynn.
Thanks for the welcome and the reply. Yes, I tried saving it as 'Cairo PNG' and that is probably why I am having this problem. Relieved it is not a major issue.
