I just bought a Wacom bamboo and after some tweaking, fiddling, and a little growling I have it working on everything except Inkscape. I had a little trouble getting it to work with Gimp but Overcame that, I had to fine tune some things to get it work with Xara Extreme but that's solved too. But nothing I do helps in Inkscape. It works as a cursor but I can't draw with it. I've set the tablet in he mouse section of prefs and that didn't help either. I can't help but think it's a very simple thing. If anybody has had and overcame this problem I'd appreciate their input.

Yes, other people have solved the problem. You should be able to find the solution by searching the forums. I'll search too, and if I find it before you do, I'll edit in the link.
