copying an image from different file

Postby drzewo15 » Wed Jul 17, 2013 3:51 am

Hello,
I have windows office files which includes images. When i copy an image from it and paste to inkscape, the quality of it is worse. When i zoom a certain part of image i can see pixels, whereas when i do the same in windows office file the thing is better. Is it possible to copy these images without losing image quality?

What do you mean by windows office files ? A doc(x) document ? A ppt(x) ? A clipart that would come with Office suite (wmf?) ?
Do you know if those images are bitmap or vectors ?

I assume you mean DOCX files.

Those files is in reality just ZIP files with a lot of xml files packed. It also includes all graphics files, as long you didn't choosed to "link" the graphic when you made the document.

That means if you unzip your DOCX file, you'll find the pictures that it contains. When found, you can just drag'n drop the files into Inkscape canvas from explorer.

v1nce, docx, I suppose it's bitmap, because it was took from scanner.

Grobe, i made as you said and it works very well. Before, I found another solution. I exported file to PDF, but your way is faster so i will save much time, because I have to do it with many files. Thanks for help, problem solved :D
