Draw and then edit irregular polygon.

Postby Innomen » Sat Dec 28, 2013 4:24 am

Basically what I'm wanting is the Shift+F6 line segment tool but when I click the last line to the first they join and I get to drag around the corners.

I tried the whole "make a path" thing but Ctrl+Shift+C isn't doing anything.

The root of what I'm doing is basically making a triangle whose corners I can drag around and the lines stay connected and straight. Only I want more sides than 3 :)

Sorry if that was badly worded, I find it hard to explain and thus hard to search for.

Hi.

You can draw continuous paths with that tool, which then you can edit with the node editor tool.
You can snap nodes together, making it possible to have double nodes in one exact position.
Keep in mind that if you run a boolean operation on a path with double nodes, they will get merged together.

What exactly you want to design?

Ahhh ok. So I need to click the last dot exactly on the first dot which auto joins it and then hit f2 for edit by node!

Thanks heaps, that's exactly what I needed :)

I'm making an abstract/simple symbol for a story I'm writing.
