Can you adjust the precision of the rulers in Inkscape? I like to have mine set to inches but for a lot of lay out work the default settings are too coarse, the default setting is set at 1/4 inch 0.250". Is there a way to set this to have graduations of at least 1/8 or even 1/16th of an inch with the major hash marks being the way that they are now at every inch, half inch and 1/4 inch? Also is it possible to set the origin point for the x and y axis to be the upper left hand of the document? Where the ruler at this position would be 0,0 and not 11, 0.
Thanks for any help regarding this issue.

[solved] Question about Inkscape rulers
Re: Question about Inkscape rulers
Hello there,
as far as I know there is no way of doing exactly the first thing,
but you can set up a grid to any dimension you like at the document's properties panel, Shift+Ctrl+D.
For the origo's position, it is coded as it is, which means you cannot change it by a setting.

Re: Question about Inkscape rulers(Solved)
Thanks everyone for your time in responding to my post. I was able to create what I wanted by using the Grid. I usually do not like grids because for me I find them distracting so after making some guide lines using the grid for positioning I turned off the grid. I appreciate all the help that you extended.
