Wow, they really do look like leaves. Very clever

They are based on the "Frost" Effect in the Effects/Filters List. Thats' also the first time I add a Convolve Matrix (to add some more embossing like explained here : http://fedev.blogspot.com/search/label/feConvolveMatrix ). Changing color can drastically change them, often with very interesting and creative effects.
