How do I add a page to a drawing?

there's no pages in inkscape. you have your whole virtual canvas on which you have a "document" which is just a rectangular region of whatever dimensions you desire. so the "document" is the closest thing to a page. but there's no additional pages to be had, as this graphics application and not a typesetting app. So for instance you can't export a multipage pdf. you can though output a really long pdf page instead.

Of course, depending on what you are doing, you can use a layer like you would another page. It might help to know what you're trying to do. For example, if you are doing wordpress and want to show a 2 page layout, then you can sort of fake it, draw a line down the center of the page, and put page 1 on layer 1, page 2 on layer 2, etc. There are usually workarounds depending on what you need.
