HI,
This should be easy, didn't find help in existing questions.
I created a page in Inkscape that comprises for now only imported images, with text I added (in InkScape) over each image.
When I save and open my svg file in Inkscape itself, looks fine.
When I open it in image viewers - instead of the texts I get only black rectangles covering the images (presumably the size of the text rectangles - but just black, no text).
When I open it in latest version Chrome, only the images show, and no trace of the text either.
What could be the issue?
Thanks!
Saved svg does not render well outside Inkscape
Re: Saved svg does not render well outside Inkscape
Hi,
You used flowed text, which is not part of the current svg specification.
Press Shift+Alt+W when the text object is selected.
There are more topics on the flowed-nonflowed texts here, a search should provide any further info on it.
Good luck!

Thanks. And what about the images not having the same aspect ratio as in Inkscape?
I get very different aspect ratios for the images on my canvas, when opening the svg in Chrome. Thank you.
