ErinNoble wrote:New to Inkscape and I just created my first pattern. However, is it possible to convert the pattern into a series of objects after creating the pattern?

At present the 'Parent' object manages the property for all 'child' patterns. That's great, but now I want to change the property (ie color) of each 'child' pattern. Is that possible?

Not really. That would defeat the purpose of using a pattern. You could make a different pattern for each color, but I'm not sure if that would be the best approach, without knowing more about what you're doing.

There might be a tool or feature that would work for you. Could you tell us more about your goals or what you're doing? Feel free to share the SVG file or show screenshots, if it would help.

That is not how Inkscape or SVG handles patterns. If you want to change all the pattern filled area without doing it over, you can go into the xml editor and change those parts of the definition. But you might also be better off using tiled clones and changing the parent in the GUI on canvas, or unlinking the clones and treating each as a separate object
Your mind is what you think it is.
