annoying node on all guidelines

Postby pixelpadre » Sat Feb 15, 2014 1:36 am

I somehow acquired an annoying little node/cirlce on all of my guidelines. I used to have just a straightline for all my guidelines now there is a circle which is causing me grief. How do I get rid of it?

Hi.

Those circles are showing the origins of the guidelines.
I don't know of an option of not displaying them at all, but you can change their position if you double click on the guide line, and type a value out of the area -if you are using only horizontal and vertical ones.

No good. I never had the node in the beginning. And even youtube videos show guides being pulled down without the node.

There is supposed to be a little dot on every guide. Is good :)

However, If the dot on the guide is that big and annoying, maybe you could upload a screenshot of the Inkscape window. Then I could tell if it's supposed to look like that or not.

Of maybe you're confusing guides in Inkscape vs. guides in Gimp, wich have no dot and currently (v. 2.8.10) cannot be rotated.
