Paint image

Postby Zolotoy » Tue Oct 07, 2014 1:44 am

I have a black and white image. The image consists of a number of areas that are divided by black lines. I want to color areas between these lines into different colors. Any idea how to do that?

Thanks in advance.

It sounds like a job for the Bucket Fill tool :tool_paintbucket:

I covered this tool in part 21 of my tutorial series for Full Circle Magazine, see this topic for download details: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=11981&start=25#p62158

Yes, that mostly worked. Unless I did it wrong when I was adding colors by first selecting a bucket tool and then clicking on the area to fill another border inside of the area was created first. Is there a way of removing the extra border?

Thanks

If you read my article you'll notice it mentions that the are is filled with a new path using the current fill and stroke. You just need to remove the stroke from the new path.
