trim image and save image-trimmed permanently

Postby boma » Tue Jul 21, 2009 2:11 am

How can I trim a raster image (example with a circle) and then make the new shaped image permanetly?

I tried to transform the image in object, than I changed with the node tool (and that work well). But when I try to export the file in PDF the image return in its original shape.

Save it first as a .svg to preserve the original file, then export as a .png.

When you export as a .png you will lose all of your vector data, but you will keep the raster image clipped to the shape via transparency. Hope that's what you're trying to do & what I've said makes sense :)

Thank you. It works. But I need to export in pdf. That's the real problem. Any ideas?

Try the dev build of 0.47. I think you might have used a clip which, from memory, are not preserved when saving as PDF in 0.46.
