I am trying to convert a pdf to a svg, I am doing this from the command line.
I am using the command inkscape file.pdf --export-plain-svg file.svg
The issue I am having is the image is coming out highly distorted... It seems to compress the actual image. Instead of 8.5 x 11 its giving me an image thats roughly 6x11 and thus the drawing is extremely distorted. Any thoughts ??

- I'am in Win7. Are you on GNU Linux?
- I tried with a powerpoint document exported as pdf
- I open with a inkscape version installed in other directory, but the exported pdf to plain to svg was not distorted!.
- If you open your pdf in the inkscape's normal way, it gets distorted?
- Have you seen if your pdf has raster images?

If you export to plain-svg, some options aren't exported.
