I am running Inkscape v0.48 on Win7 64bit and find it a fantastic vector graphics app. Hats off to the developers who created it.
I would love to exploit the keyboardshortcuts more and found a site http://inkscape.org/doc/keys046.html#id2245298 that has a ridiculously long list of shortcuts. The motherload!
But I am finding that some of them do not work, such as b or F6 for involing the Bezier/Pen tool.
Is this site correct, do I have a problem with my installation (e.g. not all keyboard shortcuts are active), or is there a bug with some keyboard shortcuts in this version.
Can someone comment on this.
Thanks everyone

win7 problem with some keyboard shortcuts
Re: win7 problem with some keyboard shortcuts
You can open the shortcuts for your Inkscape version by going to Help > Keys and Mouse Reference, it will open in your default browser.
Both B and Shift + F6 work for me (hold Shift and press F6), but I'm on linux, it's a bit surprising that these shortcuts wouldn't work on another platform.
But don't give up, using shortcuts is a great time-saver and it doesn't interrupt your workflow and thought process like searching for the right icon to click

Re: win7 problem with some keyboard shortcuts
I also use Windows 7, 64-bit. I'm not a huge user of keyboard shortcuts in Inkscape, so I'm not sure. But I do know there's a Fn key on my keyboard, 2nd key from left, bottom row of keys (immediately right of the left Ctrl key). Because all the F keys are also used to control other things (brightness, e.g.), I've learned that to use them, I sometimes have to hold down that Fn key while striking the F key. For example, using F5 to refresh, I have to do Fn + F5.
After a quick test, B does give me the Pen tool. But Shift + F6 does not -- I have to do Shift + Fn + F6.
