Is there an option to open Inkscape with no document at all ? I mean no blank document, no last document, i.e. nothing (something like a gray workspace, or something).
When I want to open a file, usually I drag and drop the file from the folder to the app. In Inkscape this result in the image being inserted in the already blank document, so I have to open the file by browsing to the desired location in the traditional way, which is annoying. A workarond for this is to simply doubleclick the file, but this implies that .svg to be associated with Inkscape (which is not always the case) and it opens a separate and useless instance.
In the file menu there is a Close function/command, but it appears to be broken (it just closes Inkscape, the same as the Exit function; at least this is the behaviour in Windows).
How can Inkscape be opened with nothing opened ?

Re: how can I open Inkscape with nothing opened ?
Inkscape does not have that feature in it yet. The only way the inkscape (0.47) application can be opened is if a inkscape document is opened..
