[Win32] Fonts in inkscape_dir/share/fonts are not available

[Win32] Fonts in inkscape_dir/share/fonts are not available

I would like to have selected fonts available in Inkscape (Inkscape-0.47-3-win32, zip-version), but placing them into the /share/fonts directory within the Inkscape folder doesn't make them visible in the drop-down font menu. Is there another possibility to make specific fonts (i.e. beside these installed system-wide) available within Inkscape?

Welcome to the forums here, inkscapr :D
Afaik, they have to be installed system-wide. I've been hoping someone else would answer though, because I'm not sure this is the correct answer. Anyone else chime in?
