Hi,
I've tried to figure this out, looked at other posts, but can't seem to get it.
I'm trying to remove part of the @ symbol. Specifically, I'm trying to remove the "a" part of the "At" symbol.
In photoshop, I just use the erase tool and it's gone. How can I do this in Inkscape?
Any ideas?
Thanks
How to Remove Part Of A Letter?
Re: How to Remove Part Of A Letter?
Inkscape also has an Eraser tool. I can't remember in which version it was introduced, but it's somewhat new. You'll want to use it in Cut Out mode, rather than Delete mode. That and the width of the eraser can be set on the control bar after you've engaged the Eraser tool.
Or you can convert the character to path and do some node editing. Come to think of it, you might have to convert to path to use the Eraser tool, I'm not sure. But it should be easy enough to experiment. If it doesn't erase part of the character or letter, then try converting to path first, and then erase

Yep, that did it!
I just had to change to cutout and it worked great.
Thanks for your help.
