Text along path

Postby pszpak » Wed Jan 12, 2011 9:53 am

Hi Inkscape gurus.

My question is simple:
Is it possible to place text along the bottom of a path, or in some way specify this? For example I have a curved horizontal line (or curvy rectangle) and I want to have the text run along the bottom of the path.

Thanks for your help.

The text is applied starting where the paths starts. So usually what you need to do is Reverse the path. Depending on how the path was created, you may have to do more to get it in the right place. So if it does not work, show us a screenshot. If it's not readily apparent, put an arrow or something to show us where the path starts and stops.
