I have been using inkscape for awhile now but now all of the sudden anything I copy and cut from somewhere else and want to paste it on inkscape it won't let me, and shuts down. The pop up boxes say, "The Application requested runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the applications support team for more info." Then another box opens saying, "Inkscape encountered an internal error and will now close." Does anyone know what I should do? Or who I can contact to help me fix this problem? Thanks in advance.

Is the thing you're trying to paste very big?
Often manipulating a large object or image (large number of nodes, gradients, blurs or filters -- not necessarily large in size) can cause a crash.

If that's not the case, please describe the exact steps you're taking to do the paste.
Like for example, where are you pasting from, the same Inkscape document? Or are you pasting something from one document Inkscape document to another? Layers involved? Anything locked or hidden? The more details, the better

This specific copy/paste that I have been doing for a couple months now is the only thing I have been doing with the inkscape program, and it has always worked from the beginning, up until now. I use it for only one purpose. Here is what I do step by step:

~Find the picture that I want to copy in the program I have
~then I Push the "prt sc sys Rq" button
~Then I paste it to my Paint program (Haven't learned how to use the other stuff on inkscape yet)
~Then I Crop the picture down to the only part that I want
~Then I Copy the picture and try to paste it into the inkscape and it does what I stated before.

I was always able to do it up until now, and I have done nothing different, so I don't know whats wrong. Thanks for helping me figure this out.

Save the new SVG document with Inkscape once before pasting a bitmap image from the clipboard.

Try importing the image through the Import bitmap dialogue in Inkscape.

Still it shouldn't crash, submit a bug report so others can test too. It works as expected for me on the latest dev. Before you report a bug rename your preferences.xml, start inkscape again and test with the same steps, maybe that file is corrupt.

IMHO that's not necessary because Bug #211607 in Inkscape: “Crash when pasting raster image due to unwritable directory” has already been reported numerous times and current development builds prevent the error by embedding images pasted from the clipboard automatically without creating a new PNG file in a potentially unwriteable directory.
