Transparency within letters

Postby havoKXT » Tue Oct 15, 2013 10:57 am

I am new to Inkscape so excuse me for any ignorance. I am simply trying to remove the white within my black letters as seen here:

Changing opacity or the A value in RGBA makes it match the black coloring. I just need it transparent.

Thank you.

Hi.

Select the white part and the black below it too and press Ctrl+K to combine them together.
If it results in a black filled shape, then undo it and
select one of the previous two, and click on the reverse path option in the path menu, then
select both of them and combine them together.
