Right know you´re using a path effect "Pattern Along Path". You have to click the node tool in the properties and edit the pattern; scale for instance.

Sorry but I don't get it ... I did that but still nothing ... in all tutorials they do the same thing but I can't do it myself, mystery .... Do the line using draw tool or bezier with spiro path, and triangle in shape the open the path effect window add the pattern along path effect because is not there... and add thickness...
When you use the Pencil/Bezier tool with a shape, thats already 'Pattern along Path'. So no need to add it.
As you can see in your LPE list, you also got the 'Power Stroke' on. Look for the pink node (while Power Stroke is selected) and adjust it with the Node Tool. That should take care of the thickness of the tapered line.
P.S: its always good to add a link to the tutorial, that got you stuck.
Ok so problem is somewhere in settings because when I draw line with Penci/Bezier I didn't get "Pattern along Path' in my Path Effect palette, only spiro spline and power stroke! So I have to add it manualy ....
Stroke is working fine, but that's not that I like because it destroy the thick to thin effect ... it stroke all the line so is same thick all the way and I like pointy line (triangle shape) I like the line itself to be thicker ...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8XORGTMjIs ...2:36 ... he opens Path effect pallet with 'Pattern along Path' already in (not my case! I have to add it manually) 3:11 he adjust the thickness by changing tha value, doesn't work for me either. Many thanx for help guys, I appreciate that
You don't need Pattern along Path *AND* PowerStroke path effect at the same time. Both will make the path width change over the path length. Remove one of them and use the settings of the remaining one to edit the width. E.g. if you remove PaP-LPE, use the diamond-shaped purple handles of the PowerStroke to edit the width, or if you remove PowerStroke, edit the pattern that you applied to the path to change the width.
Something doesn't work? - Keeping an eye on the status bar can save you a lot of time!
Yeah, purple diamond shape works great!!! Thank you so much Great, so happy .... If I remove power stroke shape just get weird but never mind I will use that purple diamond
