I'm using Tiger 10.4.1.1 on an Intel Mac and an attempting to use X11 1.1.3 to open and run Inkscape.

My problem is that when the program opens, it is hidden behind the X11 application menu at the top lefthand area of the Apple menu bar.

When I open Inkscape before X11, it opens for a split second, , but is quickly hidden (too quick to click on it) behind the X11 menu. When I open X11 first, Inkscape is already hidden.

It also seems to quit after a few seconds. When I open Apple/force quit it shows running briefly but quits.

Also, the program seems to be used by lots of folks and appears to work well most of the time.

I've searched both this forum and the Apple X11 site but have not found an answer.

Could anyone with the same problem please explain how you have resolved this problem (assuming others have run into the same dilemma).
