Random Black Bar appearing when I transfer to Open Office

Postby girlsledisko » Sun Apr 20, 2014 8:05 am

Exactly like the title: a random black bar is appearing when I transfer my image to open office. File type is svg. Black bar does not show up when I open svg with any other program so far. Please help; this is urgent. :(

I apologize that I am not very good with Inkscape. I have just started using it.

Hi,

Any chance you can upload your svg file? That could help determine a solution.
Have a nice day.

I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/

Hello:
Just guessing
Does your Inkscape design have text?
Because of your post, I did a quick little test with some of my drawings. Even when opened as SVG in LibreOffice, It doesn't recognize the text. I didn't investigate more but, maybe this is the problem.
You could try to convert the text to paths in Inkscape, and after that open it in Libre Office Draw. The problem is that you cannot edit the text.

I agree with TylerDurden Could you share your SVG?
Greetings
